Sheri Mathis is the Founder and President of Mammogram Poster Girls.
Thanks to screening mammograms, Sheri is a two-time breast cancer survivor, along with all of her sisters who have also beaten the disease—due in large part to early detection (and screening mammograms). Sheri founded Mammogram Poster Girls in 2018, fueled by the spirit of “If I can survive, you can, too.” Sheri cheekily calls herself (and her sisters) models – aka poster girls – for regular breast cancer screening.

Sheri’s mission is to save lives...one mammogram at a time by removing barriers to access to breast cancer screening and prevention for the under and uninsured in medically underserved areas. The Poster Girls help patients surmount obstacles including cost of services, distance from traditional health providers, cultural or language barriers, while educating them about the power of prevention.

Since its inception, Mammogram Poster Girls has quickly expanded to include resources beyond just mammograms including meals and follow-up testing. To date, Mammogram Poster Girls has raised over $750,000, and has provided two thousand screening and diagnostic mammograms, free of charge.

In 2022, the City of Dallas recognized Sheri as an outstanding philanthropist.
